When we started in 1994, we wanted our experience to provide our customers a quality product with incredible craftsmanship at a great value and excellent customer service. In the early years we worked for high-end custom builders where we refined our craft. During these experiences we learned the importance of starting the job correctly, staying focused on the details, following a schedule and immediately dealing with those items which were not “right”.

We saw contractors with the best standards and work practices exasperate their clients by not listening to their clients’ wishes. We saw contractors promote flash over substance. We also saw up close that the best communication skills and best construction practices don’t guarantee happy clients if the systems and processes of the company do not deliver value.

As our company grew, we added key employees, highly skilled individuals that treat customers and their homes as they wish to be treated. We have worked in some of the finest homes in Central Ohio alongside other contractors. We have gradually continued to add services that we felt would compliment our business over the past 18 years to include custom cabinets, granite & marble, roofing, siding, windows, hardwood floors and even a consulting service for those that want to do some of the work themselves but need a little guidance. We adopted the best practices we had observed and wove them into the fabric of The Nicklaus Group.

When The Nicklaus Group began more than 18 years ago we were committed to three overriding values: treating our employees and our customers with respect, providing the highest quality materials and craftsmanship for their budget (no matter how small), and always being honest with our employees and customers.
